ERAMAN Rewards Shoppers With Prizes Worth Over RM180,000
A brand new Honda City and a holiday to Scotland among lucrative prizes given away at the ERAMAN SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA: Shop & Style!

Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2016 – ERAMAN, the premier duty free and travel retail brand of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, gave away prizes worth RM180,000 to the 18 lucky winners of the ERAMAN SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA: Shop & Style contest at an exclusive prize giving ceremony held today.

More than 50,000 loyal patrons of ERAMAN were in the running to win lucrative prizes when they spent a minimum of RM250 in a single receipt at any ERAMAN outlet throughout the duration of the campaign’s first phase, Shop & Style, in the months of March and April 2016.

In the end, it was Lee Kai Kwong from Malaysia who won the Grand Prize – a brand new Honda City 1.5S – a reward for his purchase in a single receipt from ERAMAN Duty Free Mall located at Contact Pier, Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Meanwhile, Ms. Wu Hong Fei from China was the winner of the Pernod Ricard Grand Prize, a holiday to Scotland.

Said an ecstatic Mr Lee upon finding out about his windfall, “I believe in luck and luck was certainly on my side on this occasion! This is a special gift for my ‘Golden Year’ as I turn 50 in October. My first car was a Honda Civic and over the past 15 years I’ve owned various Honda models. Honda produces good cars and I’m a strong believer of the brand.”

For Ms Wu, a China national married to a Malaysian and living in Puchong for the past 20 years, a trip back to her hometown of Guang Zhou was the reason she was shopping at the ERAMAN outlet. “The friendly staff convinced me to participate in the contest and though I was a bit sceptical at first, the staff was so pleasant I did not hesitate after that. What is rather amazing about my win is that it has always been my dream to visit Scotland and I was planning a trip there at the end of the year. And now my dream has come true!”

YBhg. Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Managing Director of MAHB and Mr. Robin Gray Senior Key Account Manager of Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail, presented the prizes to the winners.

Sixteen lucky weekly winners were also announced, of which eight received a Go Pro Hero4 while eight others won an iPhone 6+ or Samsung S7 Edge smartphone respectively.

“One of the reasons why we introduced this year-long Shopping Extravaganza is because we wanted to reach out and connect with travellers everywhere, and at the same time, reward our loyal customers. We are excited to reward all our customers with exclusive prizes, which echo our standing as a premier retailer in the country,” said Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, during the prize giving ceremony.

Comprising three phases – ‘Shop & Style’, ‘Shop & Win’ and ‘Shop & Drive’ – shoppers only need to spend a minimum of RM250 in a single receipt or cumulative receipts at ERAMAN to be in the running to take home attractive weekly prizes and a grand prize of a car in each phase.

“We are pleased with the response we have received for the first phase of the ERAMAN SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA: Shop & Style. This campaign was meant to increase the brand awareness for ERAMAN and the location of its outlets, as well as tap into the pool of travellers patronising the airports. We are proud to say that this campaign has succeeded,” added Datuk Badlisham.

The second part of the campaign, ‘Shop & Win’, will run from August to September 2016. Weekly prizes comprising designer handbags and jewellery, as well as a grand prize of a brand new Mazda CX5 is up for grabs in this round.

‘Shop & Drive’, the third and final part of the year-long campaign, will be held from January to February 2017 and will see vouchers of up to RM4,000 given away every week. One lucky winner will be handed the keys to a brand new Mazda 6 at the end of the campaign.

Those who purchase one of the following brands from the world class Pernod Ricard portfolio (Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet & Royal Salute) will get an additional entry form and the opportunity to win a trip of a lifetime to experience the home of whisky, Scotland. An additional 20% discount will be given for the purchase of one bottle of selected liquor, namely Absolut, Chivas Regal, Martell, Glenlivet and Royal Salute.

“The 1st burst of the Extravaganza has attracted a huge amount of customers towards our brands. The opportunity to experience a trip to the home of Scotch Whisky has really worked well to attract purchase from within our Scotch portfolio. We very much look forward to hosting the winner and a partner to Scotland and providing them both with a truly memorable experience”, said Gray.

“During this visit to the home of Scotch whisky Ms. Wu Hong Fei will have the opportunity to immerse herself into the wonderful world of whisky. As well as experiencing the beauty Scotland, she will also experience the world class production facilities of Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet, Royal Salute & Aberlour”, added Gray.

Meanwhile, FNA Marketing (M) Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is offering special offers on its premium chocolates such as AnthonBerg, Cadbury, Goldkenn, Storck and Toblerone, whereby purchases of between two to four items entitles the purchaser to a “Gift with Purchase” or another item free.

The ERAMAN SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA is held at all participating ERAMAN outlets at KLIA, klia2, Penang International Airport, Langkawi International Airport, Kuching International Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (Kota Bharu) and Labuan Airport.
